Apparently she is a survivor herself.

Edit: aaaaaaaand the libs are co-opting this of course.... I’m proud of AOC for sharing her story. I wouldn’t be nearly as brave or intelligent when I was her age. critical support, as usual. AOC good today. Who knows what tomorrow holds.

    So the officer didn’t give a specific location. She was with other congresspeople in the basement and didn’t know where to go, but could hear the zombie chuds outside of the doors of the hallway

    They were told to go to street level. She went to a familiar members office. She was with only a few people in a hallway. She saw Katie porter in the hallway who had no idea what was going on at that point. She ran to her office and knocked on the door and said “can I shelter with you right now” and she was like “sure come in”

    So she was fully expecting for one of the chuds to be turning the corner with a gun. She assumed twice that she was going to die at this point. She starts looking for places to hide and she tells Katie “have any of the staffers left workout clothes?”

    So she starts looking through and finds a bag and they get sneakers (she had been in high heels)

    Staffers pushed furniture against the door. They wanted to change into gym clothes so they could run and escape through a window and not be recognized in a crowd
