As you can see when its crest is up - it looks majestic. But when the crest is down - it looks like a middle-aged man with a bad rug.

caracara /kahr-uh-KAHR-uh/ (plural same or plural caracaras) A large New World bird of prey of the falcon family, with a bare face and a deep bill, feeding largely on carrion.

Family Falconidae: four genera and several species, in particular the common caracara (Polyborus plancus)

Etymology: mid 1800s from Spanish or Portuguese caracará, from Tupi-Guarani, imitating its cry.
