Yeah, while I am mostly on board with the general mistrust of revisionism, those shots always felt really weird and pulled me out of the game - they made me imagine a gross nerd behind a keyboard giggling to himself while sporting a chubbie. It actually kinda cheapened the romantic plotlines you could explore in the game.
If I remember correctly, the shot is during a scene where Miranda tells you about her abusive father, It was always fucking gross and even moreso in the context of the scene.
Yeah, the story is something like "my father genetically engineered me to be more appealing to men so I'd have an easier time in life" and the camera is just on her ass.

To be fair, if they wanted to remaster it only they should have left everything in and only updated the graphics. Taking material out is not a remaster. That said, who gives a shit, porn exists and there is mass effect porn.
I have an emotional attachment to Mass Effect 2. It came out at a low point in my life so me putting together that team and going on that suicide mission stands out when I look back. I remember the gratuitous shots of Miranda, they were nice at the time, but, you know, there is also the rest of the game to consider. They didn't add anything to the story, they were fanservice for thirsty guys (and some girls maybe)
