Anyone know what caused the site to go down? I saw in Discord that people though it might be Kerry posts DDoS, but there's no way there's enough of them to take the site down, right?

    Most (D)DoS attacks are done through bot nets and not individual users. So a single person can easily do an attack if they have a botnet. And because they have vote bots, they might have a DDoS botnet.

        I mean, if it were one individual wouldn't they be able to just implement an IP rate limit?

          There is an IP rate limit already (I think 30 requests per 60 seconds). Controlling multiple hosts with multiple IPs is not that hard. You can buy botnets on the internet, which are shit like smart fridges and infected PCs.
