Wasn’t there a concerted effort by (a small number of) libertarians around the 60s or 70s to study Lenin and adapt certain tactics, ie vanguardism, to further their political power? Rothbard comes to mind, I think from a Trueanon episode (I know they can embellish things a bit so maybe this is overblown).
These articles are obviously some red scare shit, but I wouldn’t be surprised to find that right wing shitheads took tactics lessons from Lenin; whatever the case, they were obviously very successful.

The modern conservative movement learned their organizing tactics (ie mobilizing people at the right times, manipulating parliamentary procedure, taking over powerful organizations from within) from the CPUSA
