    Yeah dude that's the point.

'Everything under heaven is in utter chaos; the situation is excellent.'

The world sucks and we need the established order to shatter if we're going to have enough maneuvering room to fix it.

the Pax Americana's deterrent effect on Hamas

Holy shit this is about Hamas? Which has killed at most, what, 10k people during it's entire existence? Lol you've got to be shitting me what about the million people wiped out in just one American war of aggression?

"This is the most peaceful time in history!"

Yeah because the USSR and the Allies squished some of the fascists during the most brutal and widespread war in history, then sat staring at each other with their fingers hovering over the big red button for fifty years. Now the USSR is gone, fascism is once again on the rise, and we've seen the first large-scale conventional war between modern armies in a very long time. So toss that "most peaceful time in history" shit in the bin, that era is over and we are full steam in to "man made horrors" and the cool zone.

Wasn't most Soviet "foreign" intervention in Warsaw Pact countries or in support of those liberating themselves from colonialist powers?

Gee that sure sounds unpeaceful to me.

All of it, afaik. Even in Afghanistan they were called in by the very fragile and not very legitimate communist government.

No no, please, we can put these skills to good use! I fall apart emotionally during debate because of childhood trauma, maybe we need some debate bros to fill in the rhetorical gaps left by people like me.

      have lost the plot

When liberals say that what they mean is that things happening aren't conforming to the template in their treats (the plot they are looking for is there) so clearly it must be wrong. wojak-nooo

This is just City On a Hill Savage Hordes rhetoric with a thin veneer of pure logicbrain pragmatism (like the cool calculated bendydick slumberbatch characters on tv)
