I totally agree. I'm just describing the thought process these ghouls are going through. I'm pointing out the limitations of deifying a fucking 230 year old piece of toiletpaper. I'm out of work myself. The extra money would go a long way.
The point I was trying to make is that standing in the way of people receiving aid in the middle of a crisis because of a liberal compulsion to constitutional order is a losing strategy, but that won't stop them because they are liberals. Their compulsion to observe precedent makes them predictable, and that is what allowed the Republicans to coax them right into this trap.
This is a teachable moment. It shows you exactly what idealism gets you.
