I was asked not to use it by someone who found it harmful, and like you said that's all the reason I need really, it's just a word, I can be creative and use different ones.
Plus, there's the angle that we live in a culture drenched in ableism, and this is an easy place to see it and just as good a place as any to start pushing back against
Dude it's not a slippery slope argument, you are already disqualifying most of these words, and fuck is, like, at least as or more problematic than dumb and lame.
"Fuck this" or "fuck you" implies sexual violence and it is rooted in the perception that the one "doing" the fucking is dominant and degrades the person being fucked.
Yes, that's not how people understand it now usually, but that's why "fuck you" is used as a swear word. It's not at all easy to find swear words that are not in some sense problematic.
I struggle with this myself because I'm physical handicapped but don't mind the terms crippled or lame, even when I use those words to describe myself. Am I holding water for people being ableist? I'm not sure, still mulling it over.
Yep, there's a whole host of sexist/homophobic language that's been partially reclaimed, somewhat, according to some, in some circles. As long as people are being considerate and will happily drop those terms if asked or someone seems uncomfortable, I feel like minimizing harm to comrades can be observed without ceding that language completely to the chuds.

Yeah no people can always find problematic roots to whatever kind of derogatory word you try and think of. Fuck is "problematic".
slippery slope arguments? On chapo.chat? More likely than you'd think
