Was trying out Victoria 2 after a long time of not touching it, installed HPM and looked up some guides to try to re-learn how ideology worked. Came across a post with this picture and found it unintentionally hilarious.

"Nuuuuu not my bourgeois burgerino democracy! The settler-colonial dream is ruined forever! The huddle masses shall no longer yearn to breathe free!

African-Americans? Native-Americans? Women? Workers? The millions of European refugees come next world war? What are those?"

lol God damn. Are you playing as communist America or are you playing as a lib country in this shot? Because it could be that it's written from the point of view of your own government, at least that's how these kinds of announcements seem to work in other Paradox games.

Well that's stupid then. A communist country should see a message like "Our comrades in $country_name$ have finally overthrown the bourgeoisie!", then libs see this message, and fascists see a message like "The Jews have taken control of $country_name$! We must fight this degeneracy." Though maybe that last one is a bit too spicy for Paradox.

Yeah. Even socialists who dislike Marxist-Leninism would prefer an ML America over a potential capitalist superpower in the Western hemisphere (Aside from some anarchists maybe).

I'd think "degenerates" would be better than "Jews". Conspiratorial anti-semitism within Fascism, while it certainly existed before, didn't really take off until the Russian Revolution and the proliferation of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Plus, all the potential fascist regimes in Asia who would pick a different scapegoat.
