        I was never a fan, but I remember back in 2016 she was pretty popular with the online left.

          She had some takes that sounded anti-imperialist on their face, I'll grant her that. But looking deeper it was always apparent that her complaint was just about the involvement of ground troops. She loves her some aerial bombing campaigns, that one.

            Now that she's been revealed to be pro-Modi and a friend to Hindu nationalists, my theory is that her opposition to certain aspects of American foreign policy was only because they required us to cooperate with Pakistan and treat them favorably.

            Yeah, literally she says she's a war hawk but she doesn't like American soldiers dying. That's definitely left-wing and not right-wing nationalism at all.
