the "continues" is the key part, she's had several more deeply right-wing takes since the primary

I was never a fan, but I remember back in 2016 she was pretty popular with the online left.

She had some takes that sounded anti-imperialist on their face, I'll grant her that. But looking deeper it was always apparent that her complaint was just about the involvement of ground troops. She loves her some aerial bombing campaigns, that one.

Now that she's been revealed to be pro-Modi and a friend to Hindu nationalists, my theory is that her opposition to certain aspects of American foreign policy was only because they required us to cooperate with Pakistan and treat them favorably.

Yeah, literally she says she's a war hawk but she doesn't like American soldiers dying. That's definitely left-wing and not right-wing nationalism at all.

Obligated to remind everyone of the time Crowder antagonized a bunch of protestors and got decked in the face

And also how he was the voice of The Brain on PBS' Arthur for a time

One of the worst things about being a chud is that none of the good musicians share your political views. You're forced to listen to Trapt and whomever the fuck is 3 Doors Down. Imagine having to hate Bruce fucking Springsteen. What a miserable existence that must be.

No man you don't get it! These bands used to be SO GOOD before they started virtue signalling all over the place and forced politics into their music. Remember old Rage Against the Machine?? I just want stuff like that back

Tulsi was never good, it was painfully obvious at every step of her campaign that she was not good, and yet there were leftists who continued to cape for her.

Your standards have to be higher than "intervention bad" and "regime change war bad", people.

There were, but tbf I got the impression it was mostly stupidpol "leftists" or people that had an unhealthy level of hatred for Hillary that supported her. The old sub was pretty solidly anti-Tulsi IIRC.

Dude I'll never forget when some random CTH user hounded me for like 4 days straight when I simply said how problematic it was Tulsi had support from the BJP and spoke fondly of Modi. It was absurd, it was like how nutty the KHive people get, only they were calling me an imperialist because I didn't buy into her America-first brand of so called "anti-imperialism" (where we drone strike more and less boots on the ground.)

It was the only CTH i actually had to block because of how bad faith they were. I don't mind shitty opinions when they come from a ignorant or misinformed place. We had a lot of liberals on that sub since it was so big, and it wasn't productive to write off every single one of them (as easy as that could be.) But when you start slinging some bullshit like that and refusing to acknowledge your favorite politicians flaws, AND THEN harass someone over it for a few days? get fucked

care for a debate? I think the emphasis put on equality/egalitarianism is holding marxism back.

idk if you're serious but no i don't want to debate. i've done enough internet arguments for a lifetime and that topic doesn't even sound interesting.

Bruce Springsteen is a goddam national treasure. i've thought so ever since that 2012 dafoe flick The Hunter, which is the jam if you haven't seen it.
