When i was in college i was addicted to trivia via Sporcle, and would sit in one of my philosophy classes (honestly i don't even remember which one, maybe philosophy of mind?) and just do trivia instead of paying attention because i hated the prof. I remember the day i was finally able to remember all the countries. that was a good feeling and more useful than anything i learned in that class.
