What are simple ways I can eat these anchovies (other than just eating them straight out of the tins)? Also, how do I store them once I open the tins?
They add great flavor to pasta sauces like puttanesca. I just wrap the tin in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge, or transfer them to a ziplock bag.
Are they in oil or water? If in oil you can use some of that oil to flavor veggies when sauteing them or saute other things. Just separate them from the fish by opening up the can a bit and pouring it into a pan. Frying rice in a pan before you cook it also tastes great.
Never store your food in an opened tin for prolonged periods. Transfer to whatever ya got.
this sounds good, I'm gonna try this. Do you mix them with anything, or just straight mash them up alone?
