minus-squareculpritus [any]hexbear12·4 years agopretty much exactly this, accept it is only for the generation of electricity, not for generating capacity something like: power plants > ERCOT > utility companies > customers what is yet to come to light is how many power plants voluntarily shutdown because the spot price for natural gas spiked hard it's like a just-in-time ONLY market, and the power plants try to ride the price curve for profits link
