So… I lied. I cheated. I bribed men to cover up the crimes of other men. I am an accessory to murder. But most damning of all… I think I can live with it… And if I had to do it all over again… I would. Garak was right about one thing – a guilty conscience is a small price to pay for the safety of the Alpha Quadrant. So I will learn to live with it…Because I can live with it…I can live with it.

I sort of wish it wasn't so context heavy so anyone could appreciate such an amazing story but I don't know how you could make it work without so many years of establishing context.

I watched it on its own before I watched any Star Trek.

I think it works as a standalone. It's not as good but it's still great.

For about a decade I had only watched some TOS and the movies and TNG. After finally checking out DS9 five or six years ago I have literally not spent a single day where I don't watch at least one episode of star trek. I watch all of DS9 and TNG at least three times a year

I'm actually going through DS9 right now and TNG just finished.

Thought I'd give Voyager another shot too. I didn't hate it but it pales in comparison to the first two Berman-era Treks.

I'm actually watching Voyager right now. It's a huge waste of potential. Most Voyager writers wanted to work on DS9 because once Voyager kicked up Berman made that his focus and DS9 got a lot more freedom in general. I'm watching the Voyager episode with Jason Alexander in it right now. He has a vulva made of silly putty between his eyes and awful Neelix hair.

              Lmao, that's Think Tank right?

Voyager is fine. Its got some really high quality episodes but it feels like the floor is that much lower and the average quality is a little lower too.

I always viewed it as worse TNG. I still enjoy it for the most part but I also can't help but feel like there's something missing when I watch it. It picks up once Seven joins the crew though.
