I'll probably have an answer

First off: Trains are cool and transport so many more people efficiently than cars and such.

So in my opinion there is a big luxury problem about trains in dense cities that I have not seen solved nicely. Any connecting hub of multiple trains of the same station has the problem that you have to walk stairs up and down to get from one train to the other. In terms of subways this is exhausting leads to annoying traveling (esp. if walking hurts and takes up connecting times).

Are there ways to increase the potential to have multiple lines meeting which makes it easy for the travelers to switch from one to the other? As kid I imagined having a car were every few carriages the color changes and the front goes to some other place than the back and such.

Lastly: could we have more comfortable trains in terms of sitting space and knee distance to others if we wouldn't be in capitalism?
