As someone who's been stalked online before, I want to back all this up. You're always a bit less secure than you think you're being, so don't be afraid to go overboard, and don't post stuff that someone that suspects they know you irl could confirm with. Make stuff up as frequently when talking about your personal life, like don't be super fake but imply you live somewhere you don't, or work in a different field than you do.
