If this was the standard procedure in America that everyone is subjected to as it is in China, what would be the issue? Anal swabs are perfectly normal and they are more accurate than nose swabs, and everyone takes them in China.

If the people were being forced to deep throat the swab it wouldnt be any better, when non-sexual options are readily available. The chinese government understands this, which is why they have apologized and reversed their decision. I'm not surprised people here are defending them despite that, but I am definitely surprised everyone here is so ok with letting people's bodily autonomy be voided for no justifiable reason purely because china wants to do it.
