As someone relatively new to this space, the thing I don't get about online left struggle sessions in general is like, is it really that hard to have disagreements without devolving into unproductive dunking contests?
Like I could kind of at least understand the behaviour when it comes to public forums like Twitter where a lot of people aren't anonymous and do it just to pander to their own social circlejerk, but on here I really don't see how being antagonistic is helpful in anyway unless the goal is to sow division and waste peoples' time.
On the Xinjiang issue, would it be better to just have a single megathread where people just post sources and discuss them in good faith? That way everyone can at least get on the same page when it comes to what the actual facts are and we can avoid having to repeat the same struggle sessions over and over again. A megathread could also act as a resource for people interested in learning more about it.
Actually, putting aside your feelings to carefully discuss something in good faith in an attempt to reach a better mutual understanding of a subject is reactionary and directly harmful and evidence that you are morally incapable of being a communist. Everyone who says it's worth examining closely-held beliefs and criticisms against them as a regular part of developing understanding or as an exercise is in fact a bad actor and wrecker or as good as one in practice, especially in a space where people broadly agree with each other.

Yes it is hard Because I am Correct and if you don't Agree with me then you are Not Correct and You must cease your Not Correctness at Once
If you do not then I may Have to See it again on my Chapo Dot Chat Website and I would Dislike That
