No they're not, they're normal and informed fucking conversations for the most part. They happen on a regular basis because it's a very important, very complicated topic.
Like, be proud of the fact that this one of the few places on the western internet where this can be talked about sanely. sheesh.

They're not violent, nor are they abusive or whatever other terms get used.
That language of harm overstatement is stupid and counterproductive.
But I'm not so sure if they're quite "normal and informed" either.
