Writing off most/all anime (Which, again, is literally any/all animation from Japan regardless of content) is the same thing as writing off most/all western animation: CMV.

Anime would be fucking awesome if it wasnt so bad with women. A lot of otherwise good shows are ruined for "fanservice"
Fanservice is more a phenomenon of Capitalism than it is a phenomenon of anime in general though, no? Like, there are western live action shows that basically exist only as a vehicle for fanservice (thinking of Supernatural for example)
American shows are worse in some respects, im just more used to it tbh
