You know what? I'm fully ready to get dunked on

I don't see how some type of "camps" aren't necessary for people who don't have family or relatives in US who would need some sort of processing place before they can get placed into actual housing and some sort of employment. I'm probably being naive and there's probably more to it, and i'm ready to be educated while being dunked on.

The camp Biden reopened was a private one in Florida that activists got shut down during the trump administration. I don’t need go any farther than that.

We shouldnt have camps or pretty much any of the structures of the current immigration system. The things youre thinking of arnt what the camps actually provide or designed to provide. If we had substantial housing assistance to help these people adjust and integrate and soften these transitions, that would be good. Instead we have what amount to prisons detaining these people and holding them in squalid, substandard conditions (because we dont care) with purposeful cruelty (which is the point) that harms these people and really just acts as a way to centralize them so we can get them in front of judge to send them back to wherever they came from.
