Resetting your router won't do shit. You have to turn off your modem for long enough to get allocated a new IP by your ISP.
Nah TOR pretty much does most things a VPN does in terms of circumventing that kind of stuff (but not something like, say, Netflix). Should be adequate. It's just kinda slow sometimes.
So far just TOR works good. Last I checked like a year ago you could even register a new account on reddit too.
