Not that it matters since I'm not voting for Biden, but is Bass good-ish? People on twitter keep saying she's progressive. Is she like, Elizabeth Warren progressive or is she actually somewhat left? I heard that she praised Castro, which is cool. I'm going to guess that if she is being floated for VP she is not good.
She seems the best out of the possible options. She supports M4A for real (not like how Warren eventually came around to it and then dumped it).
Also as soon as she started gaining some traction, all these stories came out about her being a Cuba sympathizer and cozy with Scientology, so she must be decent if the establishment was so afraid of her being the choice.
Very unlikely it will be her. Most likely will be Susan Rice whose background is foreign policy and served as a national security advisor under Obama 🤮
Damn I didn't know she supported Medicare For Al. But I am sure that alone disqualifies her. I read what she said about Castro which was cool but the Scientology thing is weird. I guess if you are a politician in Florida you have to deal with Scientology though because of Clearwater.
edit: lol I meant Medicare For All, not Medicare for Al. I think the idea of Medicare for people named Al, though.
I agree the Scientology thing is weird. I think she probably didn’t really know what Scientology was and just was trying to give an inoffensive generic speech, although she does name drop L Ron Hubbard so she had to have at least nominal information about them. She’s in California, not Florida, but being one of the LA districts, Scientology is probably equally inescapable. She says we didn’t know how bad Scientology was at the time, but I don’t know how true that is. I know there was a time where it was kind of just thought of a wacky celebrity religion like Kaballah and then at some point we knew it was an evil cult. Was that before 2010?
The Castro comments are a positive in my opinion but wE cAn’T lOsE tHe GuSaNoS.
