Like seriously I just watched the third movie and I was thinking this the whole time. Just constantly dying for nothing.

All those henchmen have the freedom to become John Wick. What's stopping them? Whose fault is it if they aren't willing to do the hard work?

I want a whole movie about the hotel. No assassinations or anything, just a nuanced look at why and how a hotel for assassins exists. Do they have a convention room and has it ever hosted a furry convention or ComicCon? Are there family suites? Do the housekeepers leave poison on your pillow? If you call down to the desk and complain, politely but firmly, that the bathroom is out of spec and request a change of room do they grant that or do they say "sir you signed a room contract which said all changes must occur upon initial inspection of the room, to be requested within 15 minutes of entry"? What's their yelp score like and what do the 1-star reviews say?

There is supposed to be a tv series about the hotel coming some time in the future.

The second movie is when I realized the heightened reality of this assassin-chic world was incredibly stupid. Like yeah distractingly stupid. There are not enough murder-for-hire jobs to support the roughly 10,000 professional killers that jump at the chance to eat John Wick's bullets. The economy is all assassinations all the way down.

I actually like how much they leaned into the ridiculousness of it all as the movies went on. Everyone just has 'assassin' as their side gig getting notifications for it on their phone.

It's just like in Uncharted series where by Uncharted 4 Nathan Drake should have such an Angel of Death reputation that anyone going up against him should immediately run in the other direction
