Manchester by the Sea. Unbelievable film. It's not about tragedy, it's about trying to move forward with tragedy behind you. There's consistent really quality humour in it as well.

Songs... Idk, I get chills listening to amazing or sad songs, but never really get slammed by them unless there's context around them. A funeral, a film, my current mood.

Amor eterno, sung by Juan Gabriel. Its a song he wrote when he lost his mother. I've never been able to make it through without crying. ___

A great song, Juan Gabriel is great. Another song in Spanish that fills me with melancholy, but for a long-gone childhood and innocence, is Volver a los 17 . Violeta Parra's vocals are pretty haunting but poignant.

I watched Cannibal Holocaust for the first time recently. That was a fucking mistake. I wasn't in a great headspace going into it due to me fucking up some things earlier in the day.

With it's reputation, I expected it to be more graphic. I mean at times it was, ffs there's actually killing animals on screen. I almost hesitate to label it a horror movie, at least in the traditional sense.

But throughout it all, I was just really bummed out and on the verge of tears the whole time. All I could think of was how fucked up the westerners were and how they absolutely deserved what happened to them.

Great movie, but it's definitely not easy to watch.

War movies make me cry. The Omaha beach scene in Saving Private Ryan fucked me up real bad when I saw it as a teenager.
