It's Freelancer but without Microsoft there to kick Chris Roberts out so it's even more expensive and even more behind schedule.

This was absolutely the best Citizencon, it’s not even close. Sure, there might’ve been more pomp and wow’s in some older ones for the time, but they were mostly all dreams… this feels close.

I'd hate to be that one AAA game studio that releases their own game the same time S42 does... Their publisher's are gonna start sweeting. lol

S42 looks amazing. I just wonder how any other studio is going to be able to compete with their own engine with some of that tech CIG has developed. I'm sure CIG is going to make an absolutely killing once Star Engine is licensable. I wouldn't be surprised if someone like Microsoft or Epic comes along and tossed an offer to them into the billions.

    I spent 10 dollars on Terraria and it's an entire game with a good gameplay loop.

    I can assure you, AAA publishers do not care at all about Star Citizen or SQ42, this is a niche genre for a niche public, and their release (if it ever happens) won't impact in the least any big game release (like a FIFA or a Fortnite battlepass)

    If there is one thing they might have been into (which they probably copied in some way) was how Chris Roberts was able to squeeze the massive rubes who decided to pledge money for his vaporware

      Meanwhile the person who typed that comment has three preorders in place with those AAA developers that he will complain are incomplete and unfinished and he doesn't understand how game companies keep getting away with it..... oh that game looks like it'll be cool better pre order it.
