Chris Roberts has been seeding the idea for Star Citizen going all the way back to the first Wing Commander. The most ambitious game in videogame history.

It's Freelancer but without Microsoft there to kick Chris Roberts out so it's even more expensive and even more behind schedule.

This was absolutely the best Citizencon, it’s not even close. Sure, there might’ve been more pomp and wow’s in some older ones for the time, but they were mostly all dreams… this feels close.

I'd hate to be that one AAA game studio that releases their own game the same time S42 does... Their publisher's are gonna start sweeting. lol

S42 looks amazing. I just wonder how any other studio is going to be able to compete with their own engine with some of that tech CIG has developed. I'm sure CIG is going to make an absolutely killing once Star Engine is licensable. I wouldn't be surprised if someone like Microsoft or Epic comes along and tossed an offer to them into the billions.
