For me, that the Cold War began with the US wanting to stop Stalin's plans of imposing communism on the world. Did anybody else's curriculum portray Trotsky in a positive light? lmao it's funny to imagine the weirdos who write those textbooks were trots.

This lines up pretty well with my school curriculum, except I think I lucked out and had good teachers so it was more "Hitler is the worst, people say stalin was bad but he and the ussr were important in stopping the nazis. People starved and were killed so much Trotsky might have been better tho"

    Not much on China

Yeah, My history teacher pulled that "Stalin killed 50 million and Mao killed 100 million while hitler only killed 6 million so socialism is way worse" on us.
