So you wanna have it trend so you can take advantage of gullible people? This kind of thinking is exactly why it's not gonna trend, nobody has any use for it outside scams and criminal activities.

Yes. It trended for 2 years in the past. I’m hoping it’ll happen again. Also, I don’t think anyone buying graphics cards for the purpose of mining is your typical mortgage selling worker who’s desperate for extra money.

Mobile banking has been popular in the global south even before crypto boom exactly for the reason you mentioned. This has been a solved problem for a while and crypto bros would have realized it if they talked to a single person from Subsaharan Africa or South America in the past decade.

Also, people in the global south care about inflation because their staples becomes more expensive, not because their savings get eroded. Most of their assets are not liquid already. The rich ones have their money in dollar accounts and have access to the banking system. I don't think you actually understand how non-western world works in any of its aspects.

I'm always fascinated by this crypto fantasy that people in third world nations are worried about inflation or malfunctioning banking systems, but at the same time have the funds, reliable internet and interest for buying and using crypto despite its massive costs and erratic value.

On a single day, the value of one bitcoin can go up or down by ten Brazilian minimum wages.

Ah yes, spoken like the average close minded western privileged person who had access to a working banking system for their entire life, never had any problems sending or receiving money wherever they want, never had their property seized and never had to worry about inflation. Besides, criminals prefer fiat money for their activities by orders of magnitude. smuglord ancap-good
