We can OFFICIALLY say that Elizabeth Warren has the worst political instincts of any presidential candidate in recent memory. You sacrificed so much, burned so many bridges, and you get nothing. Yes I'm red mad and nude, but I'm gonna at least enjoy this little bit of schadenfreude.

Pro tip: an Elizabeth Warren administration would continue the fine Democratic Party tradition of not giving you any progressive policies without literally being forced to do so.

This is especially true because the ruling class is going to continue to push austerity, which is the worldwide trend, and electing Elizabeth Warren isn’t going to change any of conditions that require the ruling class to push austerity. The material basis for reforms already wasn’t there, and now the capitalists have to take the additional costs of the pandemic and economic crash out on the backs of the workers.

      exactly

the only good thing going for bernie wasn't really his policies, but how he planned to enact them, acknowledging that organizing is the most important aspect of the political struggle

this is why he and warren were actually miles apart, despite some similarities in policies

not that i liked him too much btw, and i'm sure he wouldn't be able to enact shit either, because as you said there really is no material basis for reform (unlike in the post-war period), but that's another matter
