When I think of Neera, I think back to this time I worked in a nursing home and had a terminal alcoholism case. They were swollen up like they were perpetually 9 months pregnant. Most of the day they hallucinated in bed. A few times they tried to go to the bathroom on their own and explosively shit themselves shambling to the toilet, repeatedly apologising to me because they were ashamed of it when nurses are dead to that kind of thing. In emergency before that I saw them come in with withdrawal seizures or drown in their own blood from varices. Miserable disease, just one of the worst ways to go.
