I'll concede they're extremely intelligent, perhaps most comparable to people of all life in the sea. But please comparing it to the cruelty of factory farming when I kill this animal for fun is just dishonest.
They only live a couple of years anyway! I can kill anything that lives for a time I deem to be short enough.

One of the smuggest and stupidest things I've ever seen (it's a long list tho) is the redditors who eat 5 slabs of bacon a week lecturing other people on how they "don't eat octopuses" because they're "too smart"
