The genre doesn't really matter but it'd be nice if it can make me laugh a little.

Edit: thanks for all the suggestions!

Jon Ronson is pretty on brand for light non-fiction. The analysis is often lacking, but the stories are interesting in a gonzo journalism way and the writing style is entertaining.

its not non-fiction but anytime someone asks for a book that makes them laugh I think of the martian, the audio book at least cracked me up quite a few times, idunno if that translates to text as well but it's a great story

Light non fiction? What are you into? Get you some learning.

Clay: The History and Evolution of Humankind’s Relationship with Earth’s Most Primal Element Sex at Dawn Bird Brain: An Exploration of Avian Intelligence

Oh, I seem to recall this one being very good Rocks: A Very Short Introduction Book by Jan Zalasiewicz

The first half to 2/3s of all of Brian Greene's pop science books are really, really good and easy to understand. Gives a great conceptual understanding of things like relativity and quantum mechanics. It's really not a hard read at all. At least until he gets to pushing his position on string theory, which I usually always skip but you do you. If your library has one I highly recommend checking it out.
