I'll start with: libertarians have solid takes ~40-50% of the time and many of them just need to be pushed a step further in their thinking to turn against capitalist oppression along with state oppression. The libright-to-leftist pipeline is stronger than most seem to think it is.
This might seem stupid, but I'm convinced it's true - decentralization of support systems for basic needs is more achievable in rural settings (except for healthcare, which requires technology and capital that rural folks generally don't have access to). Cities will always be beholden to the complicated economic chains that support their existence. If you live in a rural area, you're dependent on those systems to a smaller extent, and often will have a developed sense of regional pride that trumps national identity. Despite all the waving of American flags, rural conservatives don't like America - they just like making liberals mad.
Ah, I see. Juche but with rural characteristics (which might be part of Juche already, I guess)
