Everything I've heard and seen in this trial, shows a community stopping in its tracks to try and save a man's life from POLICE. An old man minding his own business, snoops for a minute and then tries to calm George down. An off duty firefighter just begging the cops to check his pulse. A worker willing to dock HIS OWN FUCKING PAY to avoid a confrontation. Goddamn America. Goddamn it all to hell.

It truly is some Gestapo shit, everyone desperately trying to avoid the murder squad from turning their demonic gaze towards them.

It truly does highlight how broken things are.

Just to further the point, I remember several decades ago when I was a young kid, my ultra conservative dad told me that I should NEVER contact or approach police unless I had to; only if there was an emergency should I try to get ahold of them, otherwise they were to be cautiously avoided. I am white and come from a fairly comfortable family.

I have a few attorneys in my family and they always told me the same thing. Never say anything more than you have to, yes or no, and if you're in trouble shut up and ask for a lawyer. Recently one of these lawyers asked why I hate cops so much and I'm like 'Because of you! You told me to be this way!'

Goddamn America. Goddamn it all to hell.

A country populated by seemingly good-hearted people but ruled by vicious assholes.

This country is literally explicitly fascist.

And just in case you weren't 100% certain, yes, according to the state of Minnesota labor board it is explicitly illegal to dock a worker's pay for unknowingly accepting a counterfeit bill.

To clarify that of course, they're not ever on the worker's side of anything, the labor board immediately clarifies that you of course could always fire your employee for having done this, but you can't steal from them to make up the difference.
