Unless it's a higher proof than you can generally buy then no, it's also poor bang for your buck in comparison. Alcohol also just burns different, you might get a small boom followed by one of the least dangerous fires ever that you could just walk over, it also burns out fast.
Guess I'll pop an edit in: what you want to use really really depends on how dangerous you actually want to be and if the situation calls for it. Throw non explosive stuff unless you know what you're doing so you don't maybe literally kill yourself and everyone around you. Without being specific enough to get into too much trouble, explosions and fires are pretty simple science and the info is out there.
