I tried out Xiaohongshu and fell into a rabbit hole of Chinese furries, and I'm not a furry but I thought they looked incredible and I've never seen anything like them. A friend told me the style is called Kemono Fursuits and isn't exclusively Chinese, it's just way more popular over there.

Anyway, I just think they're neat!
"Mr. President, we cannot allow the existence of a Fur Gap! We must find a way to breed stronger furries to keep up with China!"
So that's why there are nazi furries around. It always baffled me immensely since ordinary net fash usually hate furries with passion.
Go figure. I saw someone in one of these fursuits in Beijing this Saturday, just walking around the art district being cute, not advertising anything or being a mascot. Shouldn't be too surprising, given how ordinary it is to see people wearing lolita dresses or hanfu around China
Those links done pull anything up for me—have an alternate source? I love kenono stuff!
Not sure how to upload video but here are pictures:

I remember sort of getting into watching Gintan videos awhile back and learned a bit about the Chinese furry community. I was surprised to see that it was at least somewhat popular there.
Furry here. Yes, what is referred to as "furry" in the west is called "kemono" in Asian countries. Generally speaking, they have a bit of a different approach to their relationship with their characters, but it's basically the same thing.
There has always been a big style difference between furry and kemono style suits. As best we can tell, it has a lot to do with the media we grew up on, western cartoons/Disney vs more manga/anime styles. Kemono leans into the "big eyes, small mouth" aesthetic generally, which you see a lot in anime. The vast majority of the time, the fursuits people make are very similar to how they draw.
That's just a generalization though. There is cross-pollination of styles between the regions.
Can someone take a screenshot or two? I installed the app and then it wanted my phone number or something? Not gonna do that to watch one video.
I've noticed apparently you can't see LITERALLY ANYTHING in RedNote without logging in...
The fox mask is probably best made one i ever seen, though it seems the eyes are fake and person inside need to see through open mouth?
Kemono's the Japanese word for furry, isn't it?
Scary teeth on the fox!
