  • To answer this, I have to split it up into two categories: straight and gay. My favorite straight guys are the stoner types who have bizarre but strongly held opinions about music, like believing that Flowers was the Rolling Stones' greatest album.

My favorite gay guys are the ones who casually tell you within 5 minutes of meeting them for the first time that they've had the cops called on them by their neighbors because they like to scream during sex, and how they're thinking of switching therapists because they didn't "show sufficient empathy" for the fact that his ex-husband asked him to go on a double-date with their new boyfriends.

I'm ashamed to admit how much time this weirdo has spent living rent-free in my head this last year. That bonkers interview where he talked about binge eating pizza while sweating profusely really threw me for a loop.

  • No worries, I'm borderline drunk too. What I like about Bakunin is that he focused in on how a dictatorship of the proletariat (DPTP) will inherently struggle to dissolve itself into statelessness--which given the history of the 20th century is hard to deny. I still feel that DOTP is necessary, but that the theory of transition to statelessness is utterly nonexistent in MLM canon (or at least I'm not aware of it), which leaves me unusually open to ancom ideas.

I guess that's also my problem--I don't trust the people in general. I trust the proletariat, and I don't trust their oppressors. A dictatorship of the proletariat aimed at destroying the bourgeois seems as justified and necessary as the forcible destruction of the slave owning class in the South during the US civil war.
