  • The claims where greatly exaggerated by the press, people in the party undermined Corbyn out of this media speculation and the EHRC report completely absolves Corbyn. It found that 99% of the claims were untrue - the handful of actual problems only slipped through the net due to incompetence in the party structures - and that antisemitism actually improved under his leadership after these processes were reviewed and improved.

Not that sabotage would be justified on speculation alone, it's comprehensively delegitimised the smears in the press against him and the actions of Blairites in the party.

Again all great advice here but you should actually look into or be aware of what your requirements are and what your expectations are in the future. Work out all you expenses, and really push the limit on the lifestyle you want. Look in to how much you want to save on top of that. Then add another 10-15% and say the words "my requirements put me at around x amount" and maybe some spiel about how you understand they work within a band so you're still flexible within a reasonable degree as long as there is opportunity for progressing.

Then ask them what they're expecting to output on wages for the role. From there you can form a definitive answer to their question.

  • If a real party of a workers can emerge than I think it could capture the energy that's being drummed up by the fash without making nationalist concessions. If that can be focused into a effort to destroy the monolith of British culture I think people would be shocked and totally unprepared for the amount of support it would garner.

I don't think any film has ever got Batman quite right in comparison to the comics. They're all okay version of the character to some extent but I don't think we're yet to have or will have soon a definitive movie version of him.

The limiting factor is money. Conquest through capitalism is the only tangible way I see of overcoming capitalism in the short-term. Once it becomes unnecessary and support is there then it's discarded and attention is turned on capturing the state. But to do so we need the weapons of the capitalist state in our own hands.

As an example. Anti-landlordism is a prime opportunity to gain momentum. A renters union could really undermine the market but it would have to be on the promise of lower rent, which would require the money to make up the difference in the mean time. Suck people in with "10% of your rent!" and pay the difference. When you control enough of the market you demand lower rents in the area. Do it through a limited company to protect the union and take the liability off the people who're renting. Identify weaker landowners who can't deal with protracted legal battles and offer them a pathetic amount for their properties. Hand these off to the people and take a much smaller rent in return. - No ideal in the name of socialism but necissary for conquest by capitalism.

It would be strong-arming the middle-class and sticking them with mortgage debts. And no doubt if this happened in America it would end in a hail of bullets...so it would be better achieved somewhere else in the west.

  • Young people defended Corbyn. He got 10m votes with half the country convinced he was a terrorist, communist and antisemite. Let it be of note it took 4 years of unrelenting propaganda from 99% of the print media to establish this. The major effect was disenfranchising traditional Labour voters, while a white supremacist anti-EU party, "The Brexit Party" ran in constituencies against Labour in order to split their vote...while the Libdems did the same thing in Labour fortresses and also contributed to the effect, but to a lesser extent. They did despite being 'center left' relentlessly attack Labour and ended up losing most of their seats because their entire campaign was built on 'Corbyn is bad lol". It was a fix.

Go to ukpol on reddit, which is lib central and the going take is that it was obviously bullshit but Corbyn 'deserved it' because he violated to sanctity of liberalism and the classist standards they impose on the working class. If he had 'defended him self better' then the liberals wouldn't have had to sabotage him.
