Hey, Stephen! The "good party" all those stupid Texans should have ostensibly voted for currently holds all three branches of governement, and you'll notice we don't even have a basic stimulus bill passed yet! In fact, they're working diligently to make it smaller and smaller, and to means test it so that millions of people who need it get absolutely nothing!
Haha! Take THAT Donald Trump!
I was in a moderately popular "LGBTQ+" tagged stream last week, and watched in horror as the streamer just singled out one of her viewers by name and verbally berrated them for like 10 minutes, even called them "disgusting" for -- wait for it -- disagreeing with a mod in her channel. It was over the most innocuous thing, and I just remember being like "yeah that person totally deserved to be verbally abused in front of hundreds of people"
but if cops locked up transphobes instead of killing black people TBL would make sense

I'm like 90% sure "neuro skeptic" is a term invented by Deepak Chopra. I'm not joking or being hyperbolic.
1917 was when people did things and believed things and the more we believe things and do things the more like 1917 it is
This is just like 1917, a clash of political, moral, economic and social ideologies all rolled into one.
wow, David -- what an astute historical observation!
Fellas if your girl
Then congrats to her, and she should probably dump you
yeah i murdered this question via poor wording
what i meant to ask, plainly: would it be considered rude/insensitive/potentially triggering to say to someone that they are "victimizing themselves" in a public forum, for example (like chapo.chat); is that specific language considered potentially inappropriate and triggering.
i only ask because i assume most people who have been abused have also had to deal with the trauma of being told by abusers (and others) that they are in fact "victimizing themselves." i can only speak to my experiences and people close to me, though, so i thought i'd poll chapo.
you mean there are metaphors that reach beyond the archetypal limitations of the SuperMario Bros universe? :quark:

"I was shooting heroin and reading “The Fountainhead” in the front seat of my privately owned police cruiser when a call came in--"

one of Chomsky's better takes is that virtually every debt held by countries like Bolivia (owed to the IMF) should be nullified under our own doctrine of odious debt, which states that debt is illegitimate if it's incurred via threat of violence or under extreme duress
seems like a totally cool and good thing to have on the books until you realize we only invented it to get out of paying Cuban debt to Spain when we "liberated" Cuba lmao, apparently the rest of the world is shit outta luck!
