Yep, but all of them are clearly depicted as imperialistic (yes even bos, theyre just temporarily embarrassed) self-serving entities who are driven mostly by the interest of their ruling class. Well, some are obviously worse than the other, but New Vegas definitely tries to not lionize any of them.
Frontier on the other hand, just see "woah cool soldiers/romans/power armor" and didn't go beyond that, besides the usual surface characteristics of them anyway.

I was talking about "The Frontier" specifically. I'd argue that NCR in NV are pretty lib, in the current american sense. The Frontier took BOS and made them the heroes (and gave them a crusader theme, subtle), NCR and made them more militaristic and Legion and made that the three factions.
In lots of the fallout series, these people would be the bad guys you meet in the desert.
The devs called The Enclave (supposed continuation of the US gov) fascists and didn't include a storyline for them, and the real fascists got mad.
The complaint is that the mods says that enclave is too evil to join when the legion exists as a joinable faction

Ah, I installed that one for my SO for her last playthrough and I think she mentioned something like this; a creepy part in a strip club or something ? in a new area ? it seemed really weird (like she had to do weird awful things with an NPC in a quest even if trying to play "good" or get attacked or something, it was a while back, probably don't remember it right).

Such a good game though (the only mods I used were the unofficial patch + content restored). Shame the end was rushed. I fully expect to be disappointed with the upcoming VTMB2, but maybe not.

Vampire the Masquerade is pure EDGE without restraint. Google it they gave the reigns to a lifelong player who made this shit for the current lore which made paradox nuke the entire table top game for a bit.

This mod was in development longer then it took me to finish college and get into a masters program, it was specifically “BY GMERS FOR GMERS” all the choices weren’t bugs, they were features chosen by the creators.

im playing new vegas for the first time after playing FO4 on console. so far I cant believe how much they expanded the interface and graphics of the game from NV to FO4, like wow. also excited cuz i heard the NV story line is great, but god damn, i move so slow compared to FO4 and im pretty sure there isn't even a button for melee in NV...? let alone equip favorite items and shit. its a mixed bag. im a prattling shrew.
FNV got a lot of those things from mods way back when. Like FO4 basically felt like it incorporated a ton of the quality of life things that modders had brought to FNV, and then upgraded the engine a bit to have better gunplay, animations, graphics, etc.

bruh you can get any mod from even Steam Workshop , pirated copies be damned. You just need the workshop mod link
Pretty sure one can just drag and drop full copies of DLC directories in to add them too, although maybe there was slightly more of a process to it with FNV. It's drag and drop with F4 tho.
Nexus mods doesn't require owning a game since it's a third party site. Even steam workshop stuff can usually be gotten in one way or another too. I'm not sure what the go-to mods are these days; I used project nevada back in the day but that's apparently deprecated and a broken mess now, while its main features are done better and more stably by other more tightly focused mods now. Someone linked me a big list breaking all the elements down and saying what the replacement is, but I forgot to save the link and can't find it in my replies now.
Unfortunately the gameplay is the worst thing about the video game, which is a problem. The shooting feels ineffective, enemies barely react to being shot in the head and the movement is so clunky and slow. There is an excellent story if you can get past that, but I don't blame you for not wanting to slog through a bunch of boring stuff when 4 had such improved gameplay
I replayed a few days ago and discovered that you move faster if you aren't pointing your gun (hold the R button). Or maybe you already knew this and i'm just a dumbass.
That's just for two handed weapons. You walk at full speed even if you have your pistol or knife drawn.
that was the first dlc i had ever played and i did know it was a dlc. as a kid i was so hyped when it ended bc i was way over leveled for early game with insane gear. this was my first fallout play through. LMAO I have fond memories as a result tbh
