Be interesting to see if these figures are the same in every country. There's an old Soviet documentary that shows dock workers in Ukraine getting a good salary and knowing their worth. It's a bit hard to watch at the moment because of the war, as it shows Ukraine and Russia working together.
Whoever designed this had a magical experience in a department store as a child. Maybe they got locked in over night and remember eating candy and sleeping on a display bed after spending several dizzying hours going up and down the escalators sampling all the toys from the commercials. They vowed to one day bring the same joy to the whole world. This is the best they could do in light of budget constraints and zoning codes.

Makes sense to me. I think China will take some serious baiting to give the US what it wants in Asia (another (proxy) war). I don't think the US realises quite what democratic centralism means for it's ability to make this opponent act in a predictable way. Which is to say, I think we're safe from nuclear war for now, at least between China and the States.
What would happen if an account that was federated with dotworld cross-posted the Hexbear post? Would it count as a Hexbear post or e.g. a lemmy.ml post?
