So basically if you want to do a racism it's okay as long as you discriminate against the target in enough ways it gives plausible deniability as to which specific act is hurting them. You don't have to fix your voting discrimination because the cause might be your housing discrimination, you don't have to fix your housing discrimination because the cause might be your education discrimination and so on. Fucking insane shit.

  • The fun thing about capitalism is that if everyone works very hard and saves everything they make it triggers a deflationary crisis and we have to immediately encourage people to start spending again to save the economy.

  • I don't think this is the norm because of the CIA. I think it's the norm because the left has no real strategy or goals outside of making more and more nonprofits and piggybacking off the dems. Ideally either the few radical unions would co-opt the nonprofit left and try to turn it into something useful or you'd get more situations like FTV, where there are enough people who are uninterested in leftism as a culture or career that they demand action and are willing to pull funding and support if it doesn't happen.

The left is very obviously infiltrated, but I don't think it is really defective. You had labor power collapse, the base of the left shift to the NGO sphere, and the NGO sphere increasingly turn into a career path for bougie college students. The result is a left that can only really act in terms of being the ones to try and influence those who might actually solve any given problem. The discourse accurately reflects that and looks like a church where the whole congregation is preachers from slightly different religions trying to gain new converts.

And really what else could happen when the left pipeline isn't designed to take you to a radical union, a militant group or even a left political party, it's designed to get you into the volunteer pool and fundraising base of a nonprofit. You become a "real leftist" and get to join the social engineering market.

I get why even the liberal nationalist get upset with the right wing. Even the suggestion you're going to start kicking off athletes from your own Olympic team because you can't govern well enough to inspire any genuine loyalty is really embarrassing and pathetic.

  • I don't understand how things that happened like a year ago get memory holed like this. When Trump got in he deliberately tried to cut any federal resources used to contain hate groups. Then unsurprisingly there was a huge surge in the number hate crimes and the number of hate groups. The reaction to this was then libs shouting to go back to how things used to be because people don't like getting hate crime'd.

They don't need a 4D chess game to expand the police state, they just do it. They don't have to care about the left at all because the left was never intending to do anything about it. Biden's super secret conspiracy theory was to say he wanted to give money to cops and that he supported law and order openly as he campaigned. Then he goes and does it, the politicians left orgs elected help him do it.

Maybe the real reason the army general doesn't want to embrace the right wing CRT hysteria is because almost half the army isn't white and there is no reason to destabilize your own institutions so some bullshit grifter like Tucker Carlson can get another ratings spike. Maybe it's because they already have a huge drop in recruiting and aren't trying to alienate the few educated people who might sign up.

  • His takes got significantly dumber and more off base because he hasn't lived in the US for years and doesn't have first hand experience with American political phenomena that occurred post Obama. To be fair when he went on Bad Faith he seems very aware of this and acts more humble.

  • I've learned not to trust the younger polling at all. People will claim every radical belief in the world because that's the youth subculture of the left and the right, but it isn't like when you survey churchladies or something and can actually be sure they go out and make a minimum effort to support their beliefs. We've commodified identity to a point that wasn't possible before and it shows.

  • Realize almost all western left politics is just the political arm of the nonprofit sector, has nothing to do with advancing socialism, isn't based on left theory and unless you are part of the donor class you will likely never talk to the people who control how any of it functions.

  • I don't know why anyone thinks restricting pet ownership is a plausible option or would even have a positive effect. You'd just end up with a ton more abandoned animals out destroying the local ecosystems, endangering people and living short brutal lives. Then the pet owners who are willing to risk it, but are struggling have an incentive to never seek out any kind of help with their situation. They end up in the same position as the parents with mental health issues who never seek help because they don't want to lose their children.

This is all before you get to the fact that millions of people would just rather not have a left wing government if it means giving up their dogs and cats. If you thought all the other left smears were bad wait until they get to say the left is literally trying to steal your puppy.
