Instead of just importing a show and subbing or dubbing it, we should have random American companies buying the licenses to like 5 random seasons from 5 random animes, cutting them into pieces and Frankensteining them into one show with a new dubbed narrative that has nothing to do with the original source material, all with the sole purpose of selling old Japanese toys to American kids

Instead of Naruto and One Piece we could have Pirate Ninja Battleforce where Naruto and Luffy are brothers named Chuck and Bronson. Every once in a while there's a fight scene from Neon Genesis Evangelion spliced in

    i did recently see some robotech tapes that were like 2$, but i don't have a way to watch them so i guess i'll never know how bad it is

      The first part is mostly just SDF Macross with terrible songs (seriously listen to this shit). Never seen the stuff adapted from Southern Cross or Mospeda.

        fond memories of the mospeada part but I rewatched part of it like five years ago and holy shit is the animation garbage. lots of slow pans on static shots

          I remember reading the Robotech books

          Helluva time to be alive. Did get me into Macross Plus which is still good last I checked. I also got a bootleg of "Do You Remember Love" which story wise is kinda junky but the animation is gorgeous.
