If you combine all of his comments in the CW section, with the fact that he was caught red handed for having virtual lolicon CSAM on his PC, you could build a solid court case against vaush based on just the publicly available evidence. That's not even considering what would happen if the feds data mined his PC. This guy could legitimately end up on probation or house arrest with restricted internet access if anyone decides to initiate legal proceedings against him.
Also admitting to distribution of virtual CSAM is a much more serious offence than just being in possession of it. And if that claim of admitting ownership of that twitter account is correct, vaush could be in serious legal trouble if anyone dares to take him to court over this.
Someone here said that although the word of the law could include drawn csam, the precedent is that they don't prosecute it, they would only prosecute like essentially Photoshops that make an image indistinguishable from csam photography
If the horse images are photorealistic then maybe that would be prosecutable, idk.
Although under obscenity laws, there's no limit to what is illegal, it's just jury opinion basically
From my knowledge, drawn CSAM has been prosecuted, but only when there's been other charges. Like "Wait, this guy who makes cp also has drawn images? Let's add that to his charges." As far as I know, nobody has ever been charged solely for possession of drawn CSAM.

It's more "they haven't been convicted at trial, and had the conviction stand on appeal unless there were considerable other factors at work," but it seems like it became vanishingly rare for anyone to be charged solely for it once the courts started shooting that down, leading to the apparent status quo that it's only ever an extra charge tossed in on top of other charges. I've heard even written material has on rare occasions led to charges on its own, but never a conviction that wasn't a plea deal. So cops and prosecutors sometimes still press charges, but since they know it won't hold up in court they only bother doing it if they really want to.
Like the wikipedia link in one of the other posts had just two entries for "convictions," one of which was a plea deal for 5 years of probation and no registration as a sex offender.
Handley entered a guilty plea in May 2009; at Chase's recommendation he accepted a plea bargain believing it highly unlikely a jury would acquit him if shown the images in question
I don't want to know what the images were... That must have been some horrific stuff
Ngl fed jacketing of Vaush is pretty dumb imo, if he was a fed I think he'd be a lot more competent, and wouldn't have said stuff like that he supported Palestine even in the days following October 7th when loads of libs were plastering 🇮🇱s everywhere
I mean, if he was flipped by the feds he could still be espousing his genuine opinions on the stream and everything. I don't think there's any reason to believe he's receiving talking points from the CIA or anybody, but a lot of his behavior is consistent with FBI trained wreckers.
Think about the fact that infiltraitors have gone as far as marry and/or start families to infiltrate socialist spaces, and you'll see that this is actually pretty mild in terms of infiltration tactics
Vaush isn't really an infiltrator though, he's not joining irl leftist groups to sabotage. He just puts out his garbage content that panders to the shittiest brand of "leftism" in the west. I doubt any of his fans would be forming the Red Guards if it weren't for him, they'd probably be garbage Succs even without his influence. So it makes me question what the fuck his utility his to the Feds if he is one, give Libs a cringe figure to rally around? If anything doesn't that HURT their cause?
I'm more and more thinking he's just a narcissistic idiot, not an Op.

It looks like there's one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_v._Handley

People in the US have been prosecuted for having obscene anime and manga content depicting minors before. There is precedent, as long as it's obscene.
There has been a theory that he's been caught, and the FBI has been using him as an informant.

That would make him being fairly pro-Palestine kinda weird

I mean he is kinda a cult leader and the CIA has a real history with that sort of thing
Not saying he's definitely a modern Jim Jones but there could be something there
