Not even waiting for Trump to get elected before they turn on a group they claim to defend from Trump

Chanting, "Death To America" while you're holding your Starbucks you got on 24th and Lander, in your Levi's and your Nikes, before you head to Applebees for a beer and some riblets, is the stupidest bullshit I've ever heard.

You like this lifestyle? It doesn't exist in 90% of the world. Maybe pump the brakes on hating the nation you live in that affords you perhaps the highest quality of life for the general population in the entire world?

improve-society but also rebbitor seems to think it's 1924 and the US is more advanced and has higher living standards than the rest of the world? like people don't wear jeans and sneakers in 90% of the world? like there aren't hundreds of millions that have better lives then the average USian, like the USians also haven't forcibly exported their garbage "culture" to 199 countries in the world and there are sniff shtarbuchs koffie and macdongle's in every shopping mall in asia and europe?

I love that all the things he named are just consumerist garbage. No mention of Healthcare, time off, affordable housing, a social safety net, none of it. Nothing that actually matters. And I have to wonder why he didn't 🤔

Also this lifestyle makes me want to die.

it's really a perfect summation of American culture. there's no actual culture to be proud of - the American lifestyle is just a bunch of shitty brands (that exist everywhere) and food that kills you.

The softest ban I ever got on reddit-logo was in some post about how "it's not okay to say america doesn't have culture" where I said I agree and that its culture is vapid consumerism

America is best because of things for sale there. Exclusive and amazing things like....coffee, pants, shoes, beer and meat. The only thing 'american' about it is the specific brands he brings up. So what if my coffee isn't Starbucks, my shoes aren't Levi's and my pants aren't Nikes and why the fuck would I want my ribs from Applebee's if I ate meat in the first place? The fuck kind of own do they think this is? You can get stuff that's widely available most places but you won't be able to look at the same logo?

"You're lucky you live here pal, it has brands I've identified with because that's literally all America has"

That first guy is projecting so hard, bet that's his personal Applebees order when he eats there every week. It's weirdly specific.

There's a small chance that post might be parody because I can't genuinely believe that even the worst of the burgoid empire would be willing to defend riblets

It's always confused me how Americans seem to think the rest of the world live in mud huts and are medieval peasant farmers or something. Like they just flat out don't seem to understand that other countries exist in the 21st century. I guess that's the only way you can compare the "American lifestyle" to another country favourably, if you pretend the rest of the world is stuck in the 1500s.

I realize, objectively, that putting all the most annoying internet commenters up against the wall first would be horribly inefficient, but I really don't know what else we could do.

It's so funny that the average American doesn't even consider that there might be people who don't like the ”lifestyle” of garbage fast food treats.

Oh no, people having their cultures? We must stop this, they hate us for our cheeseburgers!

But TBH I'd rather take a minuscule 40sqm apartment in a well-connected and technologically avant-garde Chinese metropolis over a comically enormous US house 30 minutes from everything good in life, and that probably costs more than a big-ass apartment in a Chinese city.

But what do I know? I hate freedom and America, I should go to the DPRK since I don't like the west.
