    Saw a vet on TikTok say when it comes to frightened animals, if the animal is just normal, he'd rather handle a cat than a dog, but if the animal is crazy, he'd rather a dog than a cat. I think of this often

      One of my fosters was uncooperative when they tried to scan him, so they scheduled an all-day sedated drop-off scan. When I went to pick him up, he was in a much sturdier carrier than what I brought in and it was duct-taped shut for good measure. Everyone was traumatized but him; he had gotten all the rage out of his system. Turned out to be OK and got adopted in the end.
