Soon the DNC will be nothing more than Biden and his staffers who manipulate him like a large marionette. They will be president but an impotent president because the parliamentarian will be in the way.

I think it's already there, and has been for years. Like the "party" is a couple of dynastic power cliques and the scum that circle their feet foragin for scraps from the high table. There's nothing that you could call a political party in the conventional sense.

I saw a Bluesky post that said Americans think a small group of people choose national candidates. It was by a clever liberal so at first I thought he was being snarky and making fun of his own followers. But when he replied in the comments I realized his post wasn't ironic. It was 100% unironic. He actually has American civil religion brain.

I've seen his posts for years and it makes me laugh that it was only that day that I realized he's a shitlib. I've never seen him say anything about "The West Wing" - but I decided right then he's surely a fan boy.

This Biden situation really has brought out the shitlibs would can't resist using social media to lecture people on how things actually work and/or need to work.

a big takeaway from all of the Biden drama is that huge swathes of the public — including reasonably engaged people — think that political parties are a small cabal of elites who select candidates by hand

Ugh the DNC has literally said this in open court what is wrong with Libs??!?!?!?!?

And they're all still malding about 2016, of course. Fucking... losers.

He's a lawyer too so I assume he'd die on the hill of the phrasing "[nobody] selects candidates by hand". People vote so blah blah blah.

Also - Bluesky is hilarious right now. The libs are basically smugly saying one of the following or even somehow both at the same time.

            • Nobody can be certain about anything.

            • Congress is back in session. AOC endorsed Biden plus any and all efforts to remove Biden are now dead. Get over it convention chaos bros - he's the nominee.

I can't be certain Biden's going to have more "bad days" but I'm damn close to certain. Does that count?

                Yeap.

Here's a tweet that could actually be from the future.

"Look, when Biden fell down and broke his hip in September - that was exactly the time for the extreme-left to help out. But did they? No! They made meme after meme kicking the president went he was down. Sure, I get it. They hate Biden and they hate America. But they helped Tr*mp! They helped elect Tr*mp! It's like they voted for Tr*mp! And Tr*mp won! I - for one - will never forgive them. 1/87"

"Wull ACKSHUALLY the Democrats don't pick candidates via shady deals in backrooms filled with cigar smoke! They don't let us smoke in there anymore! Checkmate, tankie!"
