I really underestimated how transfemmes are treated on the broader internet. I came to understand myself here, and kinda assumed that this place is representative.
With it's acceptance and large presence of trans feminine people, and lack of inane bullshit, but actually this seems to be the exception (apart from like small discord servers).
This is a really good place and much more exceptional in it's protection of trans people than I thought.
liberal places really do hit different
People here just have a better understanding of "things", even withoit explicitly reading queer theory. The transphobic/transmisogynistic discussions don't happen, cause people here understand how inane and stupid they are.
Like the fucking egg discourse, everyone here would laugh those clowns out of town, and not give them the time of day. noone here cares for the plight of the femboy, and rightly so. It's obvious wrecker shit.
Also it's just demonstrably wrong to assume the femboys who aren't eggs are cis. I've personally met several femboys irl (both transfem and transmasc ones, too) who treat it as a distinct, nonbinary trans identity, which makes perfect sense tbh.
That's not even getting into the fact that the "plight of the femboy" is yet another case were cis people think they, the people who literally have zero understanding of gender, get to determine who's actually trans or not, ofc with the intention to decide that nobody is actually trans. It's the Cobain discourse all over again.
That's why I avoid those spaces, the different isn't the good kind

I was posting about Yes on a subreddit once because I am that prog nerd, and some dork came screaming into the comments all "YOU SHOULD HANG YOURSELF T-SLUR YOUR LIFE IS MEANINGLESS" and I was like "
